PRODUCTION INSIGHT
The Ordeal is written and directed by Lance Sadia. He like in his prior film is not only once again teaming up with producer Joey Ybarra, but is bringing back Chris Grant Whenchell as his lead actor, Andrew Badillo as Cinematographer, and Nicolas Repetto doing the music score. The Ordeal is similar to Sadia’s last short film, in that they are both a psychological thriller. However this time around, this film was shot on a far more grand exterior scale, giving the audience a dynamic experience and powerful insight in to the overall story.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
"When I first constructed the script, it was conceived to be completely shot on GoPro, and on a much less narrative scope. However, after having really tapped into the potential of the story and embracing the lead character, I was able to truly make this film into a unique interactive story. As a matter of fact, this entire short film is the last scene that transitions us into the third and final act. Yes, this is a scene I shot from a feature I’m aiming to bring to life. " -Lance Sadia
